Science Solutions are looking to recruit an R&D Engineer for one of our clients based in the Cambridgeshire area.
In order to be considered for the role as an R&D Engineer you must have previous experience working in an R&D environment, specifically a chemical or materials laboratory in addition to being degree educated in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
As an R&D Engineer you will be responsible for day to day running of experiments within the lab.
Role requirements:
- Degree educated as a minimum in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or a similar subject.
- Previous industrial experience in an R&D environment.
- Strong analytical skills to assist with problem solving.
- Proven experience in identifying and assessing problems and overcoming them.
- Any previous experience in using process engineering software systems is highly advantageous.
- Any previous experience in working with and handling Graphene is highly advantageous.
Role responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for optimising and upscaling the current system that uses niche technology.
- Daily running of experiments in the R&D lab.
- Actively collect data and write reports on your findings to present to the R&D Manager.
