A senior vacancy exists to fill a prominent position for a Site Head of Quality with remit over strategy as well as day-to-day quality and Here is an opportunity for senior scientist from GMP laboratories with a solid background in areas such as solid dosage batch release, or development of GMP-compliant HPLC methods, to step up into a Head of Quality position at a prominent pharmaceutical firm based in the South East region. The Head of Quality role has senior operational leadership duties, as well as direct team management on a daily basis.

Your day to day duties as the Head of Quality will be:

  • Senior level management as analytical subject matter expert
  • Directing the lab-based analytical team leaders
  • Full management of budget strategy and costings
  • Building a close team of analysts through to QPs around a culture of continuous improvement

You will be an ideal candidate with this background:

  • A track record in pharmaceutical product release within the EU
  • In-depth knowledge of GMP issues pertinent to pharmaceutical manufacture
  • A good team-working approach and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An ambition to build a team of brilliant scientists around a culture of continuous improvement
