A Contract Research Organisation based in Northern Ireland are seeking a Fermentation Scientist who will develop and carry out fermentation and downstream processing for biocatalysis projects. As Fermentation Scientist you will manufacture enzymes and and work on fermentation projects.
Responsibilities of the role:-
- You will perform complex fermentation development, related downstream processing and assays whilst ensuring best practice is followed.
- You will ensure the quality control of the enzymes and fermentation products including assay development and validation before they are sold to the companies clients.
- You will be part of preparing the tech transfer documentation and the technical handling of outsourcing all scale-up activities.
- You will be responsible for ensuring the set-up, maintenance and upgrade of fermentation and downstream processing equipment is completed within agreed time lines.
