An Oxford-based biotechnology company is seeking an experienced upstream process development scientist to develop manufacturing and formulation processes of oncolytic viruses for the treatment of cancer.
As an upstream process development scientist, you will develop and optimise the scale-down bioreactor production of viruses, transfer methodology to larger scale bioreactors for GMP manufacture, and participate in formulation development, ensuring the stability of final products.
Requirements for this role:
- Degree in relevant discipline or several years' relevant experience;
- Significant experience in the development of bioreactor processes to produce biological products, ideally using adherent mammalian cells;
- Ideally some experience in downstream techniques such as TFF and AKTA chromatography.
