Technical Sales Representative/Account Manager - Cosmetics & Personal Care

09:00 - 17:30 Monday - Thursday and 09:00 - 17:00 Friday

A leading distributor based in Buckinghamshire are looking for a talented individual to join their Technical Sales Team. The role will include working with big name brands who my client supply Skincare, Colour Cosmetic, Haircare and Toiletry products for. The company is fast growing and is now looking for someone who wants to develop their career which makes this a fantastic opportunity with progression available.

Key Duties:

  • Developing strong technical understanding of our wide range of Personal Care ingredients, their chemistry, benefits and formulation characteristics.
  • Understanding the needs of each of our customers.
  • Communicating scientific information clearly and concisely.
  • Supporting customers throughout their development process, from concept to product launch.
  • Visiting UK customers to develop long-term working relationships with their R&D, Purchasing and Marketing teams.
  • Maintaining existing business and creating new opportunities with customers in your portfolio
  • Helping our Technical Development Chemists to create new Personal Care formulations that demonstrate the benefits of our products.
  • Identifying new business opportunities for Aston Chemicals.
  • Attending relevant Cosmetic and Toiletry industry meetings, seminars, exhibitions and symposia to increase knowledge of the Personal Care industry.

Key Requirements:

  • A strong scientific education and preferably a degree in a scientific subject
  • The ability to learn and understand new technologies
  • A scientific approach to problem solving
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Full UK driving licence
  • The ability and aspiration to travel

  • A clear and concise communicator
