An award-winning multi-site firm are hiring for a fabulous, permanent, Technical Manager role within their North West facility. This Technical Manager position is brand new for the company as they seek UKAS accreditation for their product testing regime to service healthcare applications (non ISO13485/GMP products) which are sold direct to consumer as well as to businesses. The responsibilities in the role involve the creation of important bespoke quality management systems as well as day to day management of a small team who require training in aspects of testing equipment calibration and ISO17025 compliance.
Your day to day duties as the Technical Manager will be:
- Leadership of the quality standards throughout the building
- Development of systems and training to maintain and roll out ISO17025
- Delivery of high quality reports to management
- Leading external audits of the laboratory, e.g. UKAS accreditation processes
You will be an ideal candidate with this background:
- Accomplishments electrical or temperature testing to ISO17025
- Knowledge of the UKAS accreditation process
- A degree, in a relevant scientific or engineering field
- Leadership qualities, to communicate effectively, up and down the chain of command
- A good eye for detail
