An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Manager to join an adhesives manufacturer based in Staffordshire. As a Technical Manager, you manage development projects and new formulations of adhesives and coatings for a wide range of applications.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will have extensive experience developing polymeric materials, ideally polyurethane systems however broader adhesives and coatings development experience will be relevant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects to develop and manufacture new formulations of adhesives and coatings for a wide range of applications
- Manage and lead a small technical team, with plans to add to this in the near future
- To develop an understanding of the application of products within relevant industries, and how to test performance to meet national and international standards
- Work closely with the wider business and customer to provide the right solution for all parties
Knowledge and Experience:
- Have a degree in Chemistry or a related subject, with extensive industry experience developing adhesives or coatings, preferably polyurethane systems however other systems will be considered
- Experience scaling up products from laboratory to production scale
- Previous experience leading new product development projects and managing the process throughout
