A growing biotech company based in Greater Manchester are looking for a Senior Molecular Biologist, with a background in molecular assay development for infectious disease diagnostics.
As a Senior Molecular Biologist, you will.
- Development and perform molecular assays such as PCR, qPCR and LAMP;
- Perform microbiology and cell culture techniques;
- Observe, analyse, review data and produce progression reports for product development;
- Work with other teams to incorporate molecular assays into the IVD devices developed;
- Teach and train other members with your speciality.
Requirements for this role:
- Degree or PhD in a relevant biological discipline with relevant IVD and molecular assay experience
- Expertise in the qPCR, molecular assay development and working with infectious diseases.
- Cell culture, LAMP and isothermal amplification is desired.
