Development Chemist – Cosmetics – South East

An exciting opportunity at a top cosmetics CDMO is now available for an experienced Development Chemist looking to oversee the advancement of client products while maintaining compliance with business and client briefs. This industry leader is searching for a Development Chemist to manage product formulations and carry out scale up production on these formulations once created according to requirements.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create, craft, and formulate cosmetic compositions that align with client specifications.
- Oversee testing to ensure stability and packaging compatibility as well as standard safety and efficacy assessments.
- Working cross-divisionally with Quality, Marketing and Operational departments to stay informed on project progression.
- Meeting and delivering presentations to new and existing clients.
- Serve as a mentor and supervisor for junior chemists, aiding with their tasks and fostering their professional growth.
Requirements
- Diploma in Cosmetic Science or degree level qualification.
- Experience in scale-up and full scale manufacture of cosmetic and personal care formulations.
- Good knowledge of UK regulations for cosmetic industry and understanding of wider regulatory requirements (European and global).
