R&D Analyst - Pharmaceuticals - Lancashire - £22k
Science Solutions are working with a Pharmaceutical Research Organisation specialising in Respiratory Drugs to recruit an R&D Analyst responsible for performing analytical testing on novel inhalers and inhalation products using various techniques including HPLC, FTIR, UV-vis, spray pattern and plume geometry
As an R&D Analyst you will have experience working in a GMp regulated QC laboratory with hands-on experience of using HPLC amongst other analytical techniques. In this role you will be able to further develop you Analytical Chemistry skills and will be trained on how to develop analytical methods in accordance with ICH and GMP guidelines.
Key Responsibilities.
- Performing analytical testing on dry powder and metered dose inhalation products (DPI AND MDI) using a range of analytical techniques including HPLC, FTIR, UV-vis, spray pattern, plume geometry.
- Setting up and preparing samples for testing
- Ensuring all work is completed according to current company SOPs and GMP standards
- Writing/updating laboratory documents including SOPs, work instructions and COSHH assessments
Key Requirements
- BSc or equivalent in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or related field
- Prior experience in a GMP regulated Pharmaceutical QC lab is essential
- Experience with Inhalation products is advantageous but not essential
