As a QC Systems Technical Officer your primary role will be as a System Administrator for the site Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This is for a Global pharmaceutical organisation with proven career development.

As a QC Systems Technical Officer your primary role will be as a System Administrator for the site Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). You will provide accurate and timely maintenance of LIMS static data and workflows to support product and environmental testing in a busy laboratory environment in order to facilitate the accurate and timely release of company products. You will provide technical advice and support to end-users. As a LIMS System Administrator, you will be one of the system subject matter experts. You may also be required to participate in the installation, management, upgrades, and support of other laboratory automated systems

You will apply analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing system improvements to optimise performance and uptime in a manner consistent with organisational goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. You will maintain and generate new GMP documentation relating to LIMS and laboratory automated systems. You will participate in the collation and presentation of QC metrics.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline. Previous experience within a pharmaceutical or equivalent laboratory environment is essential. You will also possess a thorough understanding of current GMP, Health and Safety and COSHH regulations. Direct experience with a LIMS system and other electronic lab systems is essential. Knowledge of networking software, hardware and experience with writing and executing protocol scripts for software upgrades is preferred. Ability to work well under pressure, independently, multi-task, be organised. Detail oriented with strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
