We are currently recruiting for a Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs Manager for an industry leading company to be based out of their Cambridge site. As a Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs Manager you will be responsible for leading all compliance and systems, ensuring all product safety and regulatory requirements are met. You will be also be responsible for working closely with commercial and quality leaders to uphold excellent customer support in relation to product safety and compliance, and anticipating global product regulatory trends and emerging issues to effectively manage the companies product portfolio.

To be considered for this Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs Manager you will be degree educated in Chemistry, Toxicology or closely related subject, along with significant experience of managing REACH projects. You will also have a strong working knowledge of various compliance and legislations such as ToSCA, GHS, Transport of Hazardous Goods Regulations and EU Conflict Minerals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical lead for chemical control legislation and the use of raw materials, ensuring all product data is effectively communicated.
  • Anticipate global product regulatory trends and emerging issues globally.
  • Act as the project manager involving UK and EU REACH.
  • Serve as the technical expert within EU Conflict Minerals legislation.
  • Work closely with other Product Stewardship managers globally to communicate local changes.
  • Work closely with commercial and quality leaders to uphold excellent customer support in relation to product safety and compliance.
  • Work closely with R&D to communicate any upcoming changes regarding banned or restricted substances relating to raw materials.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Degree qualified in Chemistry, Toxicology or closely related subject.
  • Significant experience in managing UK and EU REACH programs.
  • Knowledge of various legalisations/ and regulatory compliance including TOSCA, GHS, Transport of Hazardous Goods and EU Conflict Minerals.
  • A good working knowledge of Toxicology and ecotoxicology would be highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
