An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process Engineer for an exciting, sustainable materials company to be based at their site in Birmingham. As a Process Engineer you will be responsible for delivering various projects in relation to developing new chemical processes in the manufacture of their products and improving the manufacturing process. You will also be responsible for product quality improvements and cost reduction through implementing process upgrades, as well as supplier and customer liaison.
To be considered for this Process Engineer position, you be degree educated in Chemical/Process Engineering, along with previous Process Engineering experience within the polymer or chemicals industries, skilled in process improvement, process design, process flow and analysis. Those with previous polymers industrial experience would be highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct various projects involving process design, process improvement, process flow and analysis.
- Support manufacturing and plant trials.
- Product quality improvement through the implementation of process improvements.
- Customer and supplier liaison to meet any requirements and solve any technical issues.
- Development of current and introduction of new technology, products and processes.
Knowledge and Experience
- Degree qualified in Process or Chemical Engineering
- Process/Chemicals Engineering experience ideally within the polymers industry, however those from the chemicals, materials or composites sector could be considered.
- Skilled in process design and process improvement.
- Previous data analysis and problem-solving skills.
