My client is an established polymer distributor and supports chemical manufacturers from across the world. They supply raw materials such as additives and pigments into a range of sectors across the UK including coatings, polymers, cosmetics and agrochemicals.
They are seeking a motivated Chemistry or Materials Science graduate with strong experience in polymers to join sales team. This will be an internal sales role initially, with the intention to develop you into a sales manager position within the near future. You will have great people, communication and organisational skills and will be responsible for developing business with new and existing customers across several industry areas, with a strong focus in plastics. The role will also involve marketing opportunities to support the business marketing strategy, including producing articles for our website.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Following training, the role will involve:
- Account management - maintaining and developing strong relationships with our existing customers, including responsibility for several industry groups, focussed on plastic materials
- Exploring new opportunities for sales through market research
- Develop technical articles and multimedia on a range of topics
REQUIREMENTS
You will have:
- A minimum of a 2:1 BSc in Chemistry or a related field
- Good technical knowledge of polymer science
- Great People skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
