Currently recruiting for a Materials Scientist for a fast growing company based in Lincolnshire. As a Materials Scientist you will be responsible for investigating new technologies, new products and delivering feasibility studies, product development and innovation projects in relation to new material product. You will also be responsible for providing materials expertise across plastic reduction, plastics, textiles and materials recyclability.
To be considered for this Materials Scientist you will have a Materials Science degree or PhD, or a closely related subject. You will also have a good understanding through industry or academia, across a range of materials including textiles, plastics or composites. It would also be ideal for you to have a UK driving licence given the site location. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver R&D and Innovation projects.
- Provide materials expertise in plastics, plastic reduction, textiles and materials recyclability.
- Carry out initial phase research in support of customer requirements.
- Provide technical and feasibility analysis.
- Lead research into new products and technologies.
Knowledge and Experience
- At least BSc/BEng educated in Materials Science or closely related subject, PhD would be ideal.
- Must have previous industrial or academic experience within materials, in particular textiles and plastics would be advantageous.
- Full UK Driving licence.
