An internationally renowned research organisation is seeking a Licensed Animal Technician, on a fixed-term basis until December 2022, to support in their experimental research into cancer therapies.
Your responsibilities as a Licensed Animal Technician will include:
- Carrying out day-to-day animal husbandry and welfare observations for all animals at the company;
- Keeping up to date with novel developments in animal technology, recommending and developing new procedures where appropriate;
- Conduct surgical and non-surgical experimental procedures as a Personal Licensee under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986, within the authorities of Project Licences held at the company.
Requirements for this role:
- HNC in Animal Technology or equivalent;
- Holder of a current or previous Personal License under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1886;
- Significant experience in the field of animal technology;
- Ideally some experience within Oncology.
