Graduate Trainee Recruitment Consultant

£19,000 basic DOE + bonus


As a recent graduate, you may have thought about a career in recruitment. Maybe you have friends who are recruiters.

You can tell they work in recruitment because they'll probably be the loud ones at the bar, smashing down Espresso Martinis and comparing Rolexes at 3 pm on a Friday.

If that's the kind of recruiter you aspire to be, then you'll be better off at a different recruitment consultancy than ours. Don't worry; there are loads of them. You'll know you're in the right place if they have a beer fridge.

But, if you want to learn how to be a professional recruiter and develop the skills for a serious career, then we want to talk to you.

Because we take recruitment seriously at Science Solutions. Using a well-structured, professional approach, we aim to build long-term relationships with our clients. As such, continual learning and development are core to our business.

So, as a trainee recruiter, we won't just give you a couple of days' training then hope for the best. We create a detailed training programme to provide you with all the tools and skills you need to become a successful recruiter. As well as the structured training, you'll also have a mentor to work alongside and give you the constant coaching you need to be a great recruiter.

Recruitment is a complex subject. Sales is a part of the job, so an essential requirement is a desire to work in a sales-based environment. The other part of the job is delivery. You'll need to understand the detail of a job, the nuances of the employing company, and how to assess candidates for suitability. Communication is critical to succeed in all of these areas, so you'll need to be confident in written and verbal communication.

We can teach you everything you need to know about recruitment, but we can't teach you how to have the right attitude. And that's critical to us because we want someone keen to learn and knows that learning is a never-ending process. However good someone is, there are always areas they can improve to become "best in class" and progress through our business.
