Within a fantastic R&D-centric chemical firm, a new job opportunity has arisen for an ambitious scientist from a chemistry or similar qualification background with a proven new product development background to drive novel chemistry development. This role will allow in-house ingredients to be proved in principle in prototype products such that your outputs results in shop shelves across the UK stocking your products!

Your day to day duties as the Formulation Scientist will be:

  • Execution of formulation projects as a self-starting, motivated and safe, lab worker
  • Development of application-focussed analytical methods pertinent to end user experience of cosmetics and personal care products
  • Managing demanding timescales, with several new product development projects running simultaneously
  • Working on relationships with other in-house teams, such as marketing, and maintaining perfect H&S compliance

You will be an ideal candidate with this background:

  • A degree, or equivalent, in a relevant scientific field
  • A track record in formulation science in industry
  • A good team-working approach and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The desire to have your own lab outputs on shop shelves across the country/globe
