Science Solutions are working partnership with a reputable and established contract manufacturer who are looking to recruit an experienced Formulation Chemist to join their team. This role will involve creating innovative product concepts and being responsible for developing ranges from concept to launch.
This company is an award-winning organisation who are a leader in their field and they are now seeking a meticulous and ambitious Scientist who is experienced in developing innovative product formulas within the personal care arena including skincare and haircare products.
Key Duties:
· Developing new and existing formulas within the personal care arena including skincare and haircare products
· Supervising and delegating work to junior members of staff
· Research and create innovative product concepts to ensure continuous development of industry leading ranges
· Conducting sampling tests using basic chemistry techniques, ensuring all samples meet specified deadlines and targets
· Preparing customer samples to include NPD requests, product amendments and re-sample requests
· Ensuring all formulation information and results are recorded accurately to ensure full traceability
· Working in partnership with the NPD and R&D team to develop industry leading products to meet customer brief, deadlines and targets
Key Requirements:
· Experience within personal care formulation, with knowledge of regulations within the industry
· A degree within a Scientific field e.g. Chemistry, Cosmetic Science
· Great communication skills
· Great organisational skills
