Role: Fermentation Process Engineer
Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE
Location: Lanarkshire
Science Solutions Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our clients pilot food facility. You will be facilitating and supporting the Fermentation team. You will manage engineering compliance and continued process development. This excellent Fermentation Process Engineer is based within the pilot facility you will have knowledge of PLC and control systems, experience working in engineering and fermentation and have worked in the food industry previously.
Main duties
- Certify the site, plant, employees (including external contractors) conform to Health & Safety legislation, policies, and values to warrant a safe and accident-free setting
- Confirm compliance with Quality and Food legislation
- Drive and advance asset care, act as guardian of the PPM system and important spares stock
- Scope and manage process development projects to meet Business development strategies
- Contribute with driving and support weekly processing and development targets
Person Profile
- Engineering qualification: e.g. apprenticeship, HNC, BTEC or comparable
- Knowledgeable of Siemens / Allen - Bradley PLC and Control systems
- Understanding and experience of maintenance, preferably in a FMC setting
- H&S / Food Safety systems and legislation knowledge: e.g. Pressure Systems, Electrical compliance, COSHH and IOSH
- Flexible working to guarantee continued operation of the site processes
- Involvement within a process environment
- Experience with Contract Control Management and project costing & planning
