I am looking for a drug metabolism scientist for a primarily laboratory based Senior Scientist position within a well-established drug discovery based company within the North West of England.
Responsibilities as a DMPK Senior Scientist:
- Planning and conducting both routine and bespoke drug development assays (both manually and using liquid-handling robots), and processing data to a high quality
- Senior point of contact within the group for operational and scientific support across all routine assays
- Planning and communicating assay schedule
- Coaching, mentoring and line management
As a Drug Metabolism Senior Scientist, you should have:
- Experience and knowledge of performing in vitro drug metabolism assays
- Experience in demonstrating leadership skills and effective communication within a fast-paced environment
- Proven initiative to critique data and troubleshoot
- Experience in managing multiple activities and priorities simultaneously to achieve tight deadlines
Education and Experience:
- MSc or BSc or equivalent with significant experience within working in a relevant laboratory environment (pharmaceutic, biotech or academia)
- Direct experience in in vitro drug metabolism/drug-drug interaction assays is required
- Line management and/or direct coaching, mentoring experience is essential
