Job Title - Development Chemist
Location - Peterborough
Science Solutions are very excited to be working with a huge Cosmetics and Personal Care manufacturer. They specialise in development and manufacturing of fragrances, haircare, men's grooming, women's grooming and baby care. Responsibilities -
- Ensure that legal, innovative, cost effective, creative and stable formulations are produced, whilst conforming to customer and regulatory requirements.
- Follow the formulation development processes of the business ensuring all information is accurately recorded and passed on to relevant departments.
- Consider scale up, production and manufacturing departments when fulfilling projects and liaise with process team as required.
- Keep up-to-date with new product technologies, material and regulations, liaising with external raw material suppliers as required.
- To maintain a clean and safe working environment within the lab and office, following all COSSH, risk assessments and health and safety requirements
- Generate new product development prototypes for the Business Development Teams.
- To ensure that approved formulations are validated, prior to production.
- Liaise with NPD, R&D, Quality and Production departments.
- Work independently with little supervision.
- Stability testing on skin care products.
Key Skills -
- Education to degree level in a Science Discipline.
- Knowledge/ Experience of Formulation.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication.
