Formulation Chemist - FMCG - Northampton
A long standing family business are looking for Formulation Chemist to join their small dynamic team. The role offers great learning and development opportunities as well as career progression. As a Formulation Chemist you will have the chance to manage projects, bring your ideas to the table and have a real influence on the business. Whether you are a fresh Chemistry Graduate or established Formulation Chemist I would be interested in hearing from you.
Ideal requirements:
- Chemistry degree or relevant subject
- Ability to manage projects - Ideally some precious project management experience
- Ideally coming from a background in FMCG Healthcare, Biocides, Cosmetics or Detergents
- A proactive confident individual capable of dealing with responsibility
Day to day duties:
- Leading the development of new products
- Overseeing and managing projects from concept through to launch ensuring accurate documentation of project minutes and timely updates throughout.
- Presenting projects to key stakeholders in the business
- Reviewing project briefs, creating development plans, addressing requirements such as shelf life determination, production trials, and costing.
- Working closely with the Regulatory team
- Participating in lab activities
- Technical support to the Commercial team
- Assisting the Quality Manager addressing technical issues such as out-of-specification results
- Participation in production trials related to development projects
- Ensuring all chemical ingredients meet all necessary safety and regulatory requirements.
- Work within health and safety guidelines set by the business.
- Supporting the Research and Development Manager
