This is a great opportunity for an highly experienced Medicinal Chemist to join a well-established, growing drug discovery research company in the North East of England. The role Associate Director of Medicinal Chemist is essential for the growth and development of the medicinal chemistry team.
Key responsibilities as Associate Director of Medicinal Chemistry:
- Provide project direction and guidance to the project leaders, on the subject of synthetic organic chemistry
- Collaborating with external partners, and with cross-functional partners (Bioscience, DMPK, in sillico and in vivo)
- Maintain relationships with clients and developing new relationships with new clients
- Support with recruitment, training and strategic direction of the medicinal chemistry team
- Support business development activities
Essential Requirements:
- PhD in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry (or relevant experience)
- Background in leading drug discovery projects, within a fast pace environment
- Extensive interdisciplinary knowledge of drug discovery
- Experience of line management of a team, mentoring, developing line reports
