Are you a highly experienced GC analytical expert with decades of knowledge of the testing of chemical products and have been in a prior management position? Would you like a role with daily high value method development on analytical platforms such as GC-MS plus management of a team and the lab's QMS? This Analytical Technical Manager role is a great opportunity to join my client as they expand their laboratory management team due to a really impressive period of business growth and the scope to innovate in areas of flavours, fragrances and related fine chemicals.

Your day to day duties as Analytical Technical Manager will be:

  • Leading the improvement of internal quality management systems
  • Management of a small team of analysts
  • Developing methods on chromatographic and wet chemical platforms
  • Ensuring work in the laboratory complies with analytical and HSE standards

A background in the following is required for the role:

  • Experience in a supervisory role in chemical manufacturing or testing
  • A degree in a chemistry, or similar, field
  • Knowledge of chemical testing, such as GC, HPLC, wet chemistry
  • Experience of implementing change in QA/QMS
