We are currently recruiting for a Key Account Manager for a polymer and materials industry leading company to be based out of their Cambridge site. As a Key Account Manager you will be responsible for identifying and developing initiatives for new business and new customers, ultimately resulting in an increased market share or growth, as well as managing various key accounts and relationships between customers and potential customers. You will also provide support to customers regarding technical problems and to provide accurate and timely information to customers regarding research projects and sales plans.

To be considered for this Key Account Manager, you will be degree educated in Chemistry, Materials/Chemicals/Composite Engineer or closely related subject, along with significant previous experience working within a commercial environment within the chemicals, materials or composites manufacturing sector. You will also have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as a strong aptitude for providing commercial solutions to problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exceed the target of sales and maintain profitability.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Degree qualified in Chemistry, Materials/Composite/Chemical Engineering or closely related subject.
  • Significant previous experience working within a commercial environment within the chemicals, materials or composites manufacturing sector.
  • Someone with experience of working within aerospace or automotive sectors would be highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong aptitude for providing commercial solutions to problems.
